The Instagram step publishes an image, or a carousel of images, to your connected Instagram Business account with an optional caption. Requires a connected Instagram integration.

Connect one or more images to the step, either by uploading a photo or referencing one from an upstream step such as File Ingest. Add an optional caption, either text you type or a value connected from an upstream step. At least one image is required: a single image publishes as a photo, and two to ten images publish as a carousel in the order you provide them. The connected account must be an Instagram professional account (a Business account), since a personal account cannot publish through Instagram. When the step runs, it publishes the post and returns a link to it.

Do I need an Instagram Business account?

Yes. The step publishes through Instagram's professional publishing API, so the connected account must be an Instagram professional account, set up as a Business account. A personal Instagram account cannot post through the API. You can switch a personal account to a professional one for free in the Instagram app settings, then connect it.

Do I need an image to post?

Yes. Instagram posts are image-first, so at least one image is required. The caption is optional.

How do I post a carousel?

Connect two to ten images. One image publishes as a single photo, and multiple images publish as a carousel in the order you provide them.
