Search the web, synthesize findings, and build account briefs at scale.
Formt can automate the research process that sales, finance, and marketing teams do manually. Search the web for information about companies or topics, synthesize findings into a brief with citations, extract specific data points, and process results at scale.
The Research Agent step runs an agentic search loop. Write a research goal as a prompt, reference upstream data (e.g., company name from a form or spreadsheet), and configure search depth. The agent searches the web, reads results, and synthesizes a brief with citations.
Step Guide: Research Agent →Use the Structured Search action to populate specific fields instead of a narrative summary. Define output fields like employee_count, headquarters, recent_funding, and the agent fills them from its research. Citation metadata (sources, source count) is appended automatically.
Use the Web Scrape step to fetch content from known URLs. Get a company's about page, a specific article, or a product page as Markdown, text, or HTML. Feed the content to AI Generate for further analysis.
Step Guide: Web Scrape →Chain Research Agent or Web Scrape output into AI Generate to reformat, summarize, or extract additional insights. Use Structured output mode to parse research into specific fields for downstream use.
Step Guide: AI Generate →Import a list of companies from Google Sheets or CSV, use For Each to research each one individually, then Collect the results. Export to a spreadsheet or generate individual PDF briefs.
